heys everyone.. this is what my e. lit teacher told us once..

THE BEST IS YET TO COME

God always saves the best for the last.

When God made this world, He made it on the principle of growth and change. A seed isn't a very pretty thing (nobody sits and admires seeds), but a seed has the potential of becoming a beautiful flower or a useful plant. When you bury that seed in the ground, it takes roots and starts to develop. But a root isn't anything beautiful, either, if that little seed could talk, it might say something like this: "Here I am an ugly seed. And if that isn't bad enough, they've buried me underground. And do you know what's happened? I've developed some ugly growth called roots. I'm just one big mass of ugliness!"

But just give yourself a little time. The spring rains, the warm sunshine, and before long, a green shoot-then leaves-then a gorgeous flower! In nature, the best is yet to come. We don't judge the seed by its smallness and plainness, or by its ugly, dirty roots. We see in it the beautiful flower that is yet to come.

The Lord reminds us that He hasn't made us yet-He's making us!

God isn't finished with you yet, and the master craftsman should never be judged by an unfinished product. God loves you, God has a plan for your life, and God will finish what He has started. The day will come when you will look into the face of your Savior and say, "You have saved the best wine until now."

Do you know why God saves the best till the last? Well, it's not because He wants to tease us or trick us into obeying Him---like the mother who promises a big dessert to the child who eats his spinach. No, it's not like that at all. God saves the best till the last so we can grow in our spiritual character and really enjoy the best when it comes. God doesn't want us to be spoiled children who get too much too soon. He wants us to grow in character and in spiritual appreciation. He starts with the good-then He gives the better---then He gives the best. One reason God is permitting trials and difficulties today is that we may be prepared to appreciate and enjoy the blessings of tomorrow.

Don't run ahead of God---let Him direct your steps. He has His plan and He has His time. God's clock is never one minute early or one minute late-it always strikes right on time. The heart of man cannot conceive the wonderful things that God has prepared for us. The best is yet to come. And when it comes, we will look back at the difficulties of life and say, "It's been worth it all."
