yayyy!! PAP WON!! haha.. pretty obvious that i'm a huge fan of theirs eh? haha..
lemme blog about yesterday's events since it was rather eventful. haha.. since it was polling day and our boss's ,niel's, birthday we had the day off!! no saturday cruise!!! wooohoooooo!! haha.. BUT i still woke up early (8am) to meet sal at chinatown. (we actually wanted to meet at 8.30 BUT as usual, we were late.) haha.. had breakfast at some porridge dim sum place (which was sal's first decent breakfast in some time) then we went SHOPPING!! haha.. we scouted around chinatown and we saw like manymanymanyyyy interesting stuff. i've decided that my future place will be damn zen with all those wooden and stone stuff. hopefully i won't get a termite attack like what happened to alan's kitchen though. haha.. AND i bought sal her WINDCHIME!! yayyy!! i'm smart. i chose the simplest pressie from her wishlist. i mean c'mon! jap and skin whitening stuff?? i know nuts about them. blahhh.. besides the windchime was kinda nice in a sweet and angklong-sounding kinda way. haha.. after scouting around the main part of the tourist-y chinatown (pagoda street) we had little time left so since sal had a date with jo teo we proceeded down to city hall and shopped for a lil bit more (jo teo was late). they're like due for some upper-class flea market shopping kinda thing (when i say "upper class" i mean like hotel) and some french movie that sounded quite nice but, according to jo teo's reviews yesterday, wasn't terrific. anyways, point was i didn't want to join them uninvited so being the person who had foresight i dragged alan out.
alan, poor guy, just completed his field camp and looked damn black (i mean black as in not tanned but BLACK) and tired. he walked kinda strangely as well, saying that his feet hurt. would have made me feel guilty if not for the fact that i got him out to find a birthday present for him. stooopid ass made so much noise about being tired and grumbled and was soooo fussy about his present and walked so slooowwwlllyyy and talked so much about ns i swear i would have murdered him on the spot if not for the simple fact that he's my buddy and i kinda missed seeing him around. so after lots of grumbling, tales about ns, a starbucks coffee and carl's junior meal (omg, according to alan, there's this CARL'S restaurant in US and the portions are bigger than the jr one)later we finally parted ways and a damn tired out me went to find van, cai and dan.
i swear the world's full of bastards and you can find a huge majority of them in mrt stations/trains. i loathe loathe LOATHE the way people like to park themselves in between the gap of the mrt doors and proceed to dash inside everytime the train arrives. i loathe loathe LOATHE the way people stand up straighter everytime the train arrives and SQUEEEEEZZEEE their way into the train, pushing and shoving everyone else in sight. URGHHHH... it's cause of such idiots that my EIGHTY DOLLAR new WHITE bad got smudge with some black sooty thing. F&$%*^ assholes. oh yea. on the same note, some F#$@&* walked straight into jenna, then me, then jeff, then christine, slamming us hard in the shoulders, while we were on the way to the mrt station on friday. but jenna looked at his face and reckoned he's prolly mentally insane so that, compared to the retards at mrts, is prolly better.
oh yeas. back to van cai and dan. when i met them i was in this uber grouchy mood considering my long day and my horrid encounter with Stupid People At The MRT. BUT, i kinda warmed up and more or less forgot about that encounter. haha.. we went to the icon place opposite the usual bugis shopping centre. the idea's pretty cool but i think that the boutiques that place houses is more or less similar? gets pretty boring and predictable after awhile. and i thought the place was supposed to be meant for young entreprenuers but we didn't really see any super young ones there. bleahh.. but overall, it's still to be commended for the idea itself though the cost-saving which led to the lack of escalators and lifts nearly killed my legs. ate dinner at siam kitchen. omg. that place serves fake tom yam and service was to say the least, SHITE. i reckon they ought to employ friendlier staff who have decent communication skills and can do decent math. we had a pretty good time though. chatting about school and scouts (and ns for dan) was fun. apparently everyone remembered my sleeping escapades and mrs ong's advice for me to "increase my blood sugar level"). haha..
hmmmm... nothing better than a day spent with ole buddies yea? cheered me up considerably. was faced with a huge late teen crisis which lessened considerably after sat. perhaps more of that later as cheryl needs to use the toilet. URGENTLY.
