mann.. i'm sucha loserrr!! i was playing with devica during monday's training and i sorta fell and tried to push myself up with my left hand thinking i still had a chance when the woman came crashing on me. which caused my arm to produce 2 really sickening sounding pops, then numbness, then the next moment i was sitting outside the dojo with the year 4 med students, the culprit and renjun around me. here's how the convo between the 2 trainee docs went:-
MS1: *prods my shoulder* do you feel pain here?
me: no.
MS1: *prods another portion of shoulder* how about here?
me: no.
MS2: i think she should take off her gi.
*after i managed that feat*
MS2: her elbow looks disjointed.
MS1: so where do you feel pain?
*i point to the elbow*
MS1: i think it's just dislocated.
MS2: actually it looks broken. it's a bit out of shape.
MS1: it doesn't look like it is. doesn't look that bad.
MS2: but you see here......
after what seemed like 15mins with devica and renjun sniggering behind me and the rest of the med students doing nothing......
MS2: maybe we should leave her here and see how it is after training.
MS1: are you ok with going to NUH?
at that point i almost hugged him and thanked him for coming to that obvious conclusion considering how much my arm had swelled during that period of time.
the going to the hospital part was pretty fast. i tell you girls are efficient. within minutes slippers and everything was found and packed and everyone loaded into yanni's car. first time going to the A&E dept was chaotic. i think i was a bit mad and said some lame shit and the rest said more shit like "omg, why are you so heavy?". hahaa.. and my judo friends waited all the way from the time i entered the hospital till i got my prescription of painkillers (more came after training ended). damn touched laa!
i must mention now that the auntie-est people in judo are carrie and mingli. carrie was like "aiyo, stop spinning around", "i go find the form", and talking to the nurse, and mingli was like "aiyooo! why you suddenly like that?", "why you think he's cute? he very stone one leh!" and both were reading mags at the waiting area in a tai-tai way.
and yea, the 2 buds in judo were great company despite their shitass-ness like 80% of the time. -hugs- :)))
hopefully i'll recover in the estimated 7 days. doing everything, including typing the post, one-handed is quite torturous.
