i'm NEVER, EVER staying over in school to mug again. EVER.

it's ok till about 12 then you feel like nothing more can go into your head. you wanna take a break but the table's simply too uncomfortable to sleep properly. you stare at your notes and readings some more but it's a futile attempt. you feel grouchy and so does your buddy cause you both miss your bed and toilet and nua sleeping clothes at home.

so what do you do? at around 3, you and your buddy decide to go for a walk to clear your minds. BUT, there's nowhere to go (at least nowhere that's safe and not too far away). so you hang out at the library roof garden (that's dark enough so you don't notice the steps until it's almost too late) and talk.

but well, at least the scenery is pretty good and we covered quite a few topics and i felt that i got to know a friend better. we came to a conclusion that we're pretty close mainly 'cause 1) we're quite lonely in uni; 2) we both come from ij schools and can relate to each other's secondary school life; 3) we come from similar family backgrounds; 4) character-wise, we compliment each other i.e. stubborn vs. pushover; and 5) our results suck.

i guess you can say it's pretty much a 'pity-party' kind of thing. sad but true. in any case i hope this friendship lasts. seeing someone you knew very well on the streets and realise you've nothing to say to him/her, or worse, pretend you've not seen each other is very depressing.

back to my traumatic experience staying over. in the end, we went back to the library at 3.30am and tried mugging for another painful hour. this saw us walking out of the library again at around 5am (renjun slept for a bit while i did origami). by this time the people who are left are either sleeping, walking around aimlessly or still pushing on (if i weren't so seh i would have given them a round of applause). so we chatted for another hour and made our way to the bus stop. 151 came at around 6.30am. bus ride was terrible. had to bear with constipation, lack of sleep and inconsiderate aunties who open bus windows even on cold, wet mornings.

was SUPER glad to be home with my nice bed and clean, nice toilet and bathroom. i think i slept from 8.30am to 1pm. i think next time i prefer night-time studying at home, where i can nap properly when i'm tired, get food and drinks free, control the room temperature, and where the toilet is only a few metres away (instead of 2 floors down).
