The author wanders through memories of a Singapore upbringing by visiting well known and "lost" locations, which evoke both past experiences and present day emotions. The result is an unusual drifting account of a Singapore quite unlike anyone else's. The black-and-white photographs also induce misty dreams. Perhaps surprisingly, maps are included, as is a bibliography and an index.
i want this book! and the latest version of makan sutra. and a new globe. and lots of other things!haha.. i've made a list of what i'll get once i've enough money. shit. i'm really freakin poor. my folks want me to invest in unit trust as well. HOW?! i don't wanna slog my guts out during the hols!
ok. first, i've to get the exams over and done with. then there's the shenzhen trip to prepare for. then i'll worry about money issues.
